Jesse is an American sitcom which ran on NBC from September 1998 to May 2000. The show was created by Ira Ungerleider.
The show stars Christina Applegate as single mother Jesse Warner, raising her nine-year-old son in Buffalo, New York. She works for her father in a German-themed bar, serving beer while wearing a dirndl. Jesse's love interest, a Chilean named Diego (Bruno Campos), gains a rival when her ex-husband comes to town, intent on winning her back.

I've been looking for this show for years and I finally found it. I re-watched the whole series and was very pleased to find out it still help up to my memories of it. It also doesn't feel outdated like a lot of older shows end up.
The Jesse/Diego relationship is the driving force behind this comedy. It's very traditional rom/com. With constant will they/won't they, on again/off again shenanigans. The first season of the show, had the secondary focus on Jesse's family and the family business. In season 2 all but her son mysteriously disappeared with no explanation. And the secondary focus shifted to her friends and new workplace. If you can ignore that little switch then you will enjoy the cast of characters.
Unfortunately cancelled too soon, the series ends on a bit of a disappointing note as we are left with a small cliffhanger. That being said it still has some resolution so it's not the worse case of this I've had to endure.
I couldn't find any promos but I did find a fanvid that gives a glimpse to the wonderful relationship between Jesse and Diego.
