American Dad! is an American adult animated sitcom created by Mike Barker, Matt Weitzman, and Seth MacFarlane for the "Animation Domination" lineup on Fox. On July 16, 2013, it was announced that American Dad!'s 10th season (2013–14) would be the show's final run on Fox, that the cable network TBS would begin broadcasting new episodes of the series following that. TBS has picked up American Dad! for a 15-episode 11th season slated to premiere in July 2014
The series focuses on an eccentric motley crew that is the Smith family and their three housemates: Father, husband, and breadwinner Stan Smith; his better half housewife, Francine Smith; their college-aged daughter, Hayley Smith; and their high-school-aged son, Steve Smith. Outside of the Smith family, there are three additional main characters, including Hayley's boyfriend turned husband, Jeff Fischer; the family's man-in-a-goldfish-body pet, Klaus; and most notably the family's zany alien, Roger, who is "full of masquerades, brazenness, and shocking antics."

I've always enjoyed American Dad, though it tends to be a show I watch mostly when there is nothing else. Or when I want something to mellow out and fall asleep to. Guess that doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement, but it actually is very smart and funny. If somewhat offensive. But then they try and push the envelope as far as they can.
