Angel & Faith

Angel and Faith is one of two canonical continuations of the comic book series Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight following the characters of Angel and Faith Lehane . Joss Whedon announced that the licence to Angel comics is moving from IDW to Dark Horse in 2011, and titles revolving around Angel and Faith would be part of Buffy Season Nine. Scott Allie has confirmed at the Dark Horse ECCC in March 2011 that there will be a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 10."
Angel and Faith is set after Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight and deals heavily with the consequences of that storyline, specifically Angel's involvement with Twilight and the death of Giles in "Last Gleaming" at Angel's hands. The series was set up in Season Eight's final issue, which showed Faith inheriting Giles' estate and taking responsibility for Angel when nobody else would. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Nine takes place alongside Angel and Faith.

Spike

Spike is an upcoming comic book series published by IDW Publishing. Written by Brian Lynch, it focuses on the character of Spike, a main character in television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off, Angel. Uniquely, although this is a spin-off from IDW's larger Angel: After the Fall franchise, it also serves as a prequel to Dark Horse Comics' own Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight comic book series. As such, it is "canon" to the overall "Buffyverse" in which stories take place. Although originally intended as an ongoing series, the Angel rights transfer from IDW to Dark Horse will see the series end for the time being after eight issues.
Note that while Spike: Asylum was not originally intended as canon, it does introduce the characters in the Spike comic thus having earned a place in the chronology of the series.

The plot of the first arc features Spike travelling to Las Vegas for a mission refused by Angel. There, he acquires the crew and the ship introduced properly in the pages of Buffy Season Eight arc "Last Gleaming".

Angel: After The Fall

Angel: After the Fall is a comic book published by IDW Publishing. Written by Brian Lynch and plotted with Joss Whedon, the series is a canonical continuation of the Angel television series, and follows the events of that show's final televised season. The first issue was released on November 21, 2007.
Angel was an comic book series from IDW Publishing. The title began as a limited series subtitled After the Fall. This storyline lasted for seventeen issues, after which IDW chose to continue the series as an ongoing with new writers. While After the Fall was plotted by Joss Whedon and considered canon, the canonical status of subsequent issues is more ambiguous.

Angel: After the Fall sees the heroic vampire, Angel, coping with the apocalyptic aftermath of the television series after he took over and subsequently betrayed the demonic law firm, Wolfram & Hart. The city of Los Angeles has since been sent to hell  by Wolfram & Hart as a result of Angel's actions. The series follows his attempts to rescue the people he has sworn to protect.

Angel

Angel is an American television series, a spin-off of the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The series was created by Buffy's creator, Joss Whedon, in collaboration with David Greenwalt, and first aired on October 5, 1999. Like Buffy, it was produced by Whedon's production company, Mutant Enemy.
The show details the ongoing trials of Angel, a vampire whose human soul was restored to him by gypsies as a punishment for the murder of one of their own. After more than a century of murder and the torture of innocents, Angel's restored soul torments him with guilt and remorse. During the first four seasons of the show, he works as a private detective in a fictionalized version of Los Angeles, California, where he and a variety of associates work to "help the helpless" and to restore the faith and save the souls of those who have lost their way. Typically, this involves doing battle with evil demons or demonically allied humans, primarily related to Wolfram & Hart, a demonic law firm. He also has to battle his own demonic nature.

RG's Views

One of the best shows ever. I can't even begin to explain what this and it's sister show, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, meant to me. I have always been an avid TV watcher, but these shows really drew me in. To the point that I felt like I had an actually emotional bond with the characters. Even all these years later I still look forward to the comics and follow what has become of them all. It was a great mix of drama and humor.  ANd I think it will stand the test of time. even if you think this isn't your kind of show, trust me. Watch the first 5 episodes. You'll be hooked.
