The Finder

The Finder is an American procedural drama television series created by Hart Hanson that ran on Fox from January 12, 2012 to May 11, 2012.  It is a spin-off of another Fox television series, Bones. The backdoor pilot, entitled "The Finder", aired in its sixth season. It is loosely based on The Locator series of two books by Richard Greener. On May 9, 2012, Fox cancelled the show.  It also served as the final television performance of Michael Clarke Duncan, who died of complications due to a heart attack on September 3, 2012.
Iraq war veteran WALTER SHERMAN (Geoff Stults) gained a reputation in his army days as being the go-to guy for tracking down insurgents and deserters and finding improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Unfortunately one IED found Walter before he could find it, resulting in severe brain damage with a lasting and unexpected effect. Walter transformed from someone skilled at the standard recovery of people and things to someone much more extraordinary: a Finder.

This aired as a backdoor pilot on Bones. And I loved the character dynamics and interplay. I thought it was a great concept and was really looking forward to the show. However from the episodes I've caught so far, I haven't been that impressed. I'm not sure why, but I'm left not caring about the characters that much. I think anyone coming into it that didn't see the original pilot would not keep tuning in.

I never did get around to finishing the series but I'd like to go back and watch it eventually, if only to have a full grasp on the Bones crossovers.
