Sherlock is a British television series that presents a contemporary update of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes detective stories. It was created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss. After an unbroadcast pilot was produced in 2009, Six episodes have been produced, the first three of which aired in 2010. Series two aired in 2012, and a third series began production in March 2013.
In this modernized version of the Conan Doyle characters, using his detective plots, Sherlock Holmes lives in early 21st century London and acts more cocky towards Scotland Yard's detective inspector Lestrade because he's actually less confident.
